We, as Group Finance Department, provide a fair and prudent view on the economic development of our group and ensure compliance with our regulatory frameworks. Our core tasks include budget planning and management, financial reporting in accordance to IFRS and local GAAP, compliance with tax regulations, risk management, coordination, support, advice and optimization of our internal system of controls as well as group-wide treasury and liquidity management.  

We are professionals with specialized knowledge in IFRS, Local GAAP, and tax legislations and some of us drive process improvements, accuracy and automation. We are enthusiastic to analyze and truly understand the drivers behind identified business developments.

Financial Accounting

Being the largest department in Finance, our subteams include Accounts Receivable, Accounts Payable and General Ledger. But we have also several specialist roles around Payment Services, Finance IT systems and Project Management. We have a common focus on process robustness, digitalization and employee empowerment. 

We, as Financial Accounting, are home to a range of job profiles and skills, therefore effective communication and collaboration is key. Each of our teams has developed and is responsible for its own coordination, but in weekly/monthly/quarterly touchpoints and workshops we interact to share knowledge and increase our efficiency in the organization. 

Group Controlling

The Group Controlling team is responsible for the Group-wide planning and forecasting processes as well as analyzing and reporting of the monthly results. Our focus is on the Group results and the analysis of key performance indicators such as sales, profit, cash flow and net working capital.

The best results are achieved not alone, but in collaboration with a strong team. And that is what matters most to us in Group Controlling. We work together within our Group Finance team and with other teams in the Group across divisions and functions. The performance of each individual counts. We stand for interdisciplinary teamwork, clear communication, flexibility and adaptability as well as feedback and a willingness to learn. In addition to all those involved, we also rely on efficient tools and software for data analysis and reporting. 

Taxes

Our dedicated Tax Team skillfully navigates the details of tax law while maintaining a broad view of overall business operations. Operating as generalists, we take pride in our proactive approach, consistently initiating changes that lead to significant successes in creating cross-border tax-efficient processes and group structures. Our achievements are clear in the development of streamlined processes and the establishment of tax-efficient group frameworks. By working closely with other teams across locations, we play a crucial role in guiding the company towards financially optimized pathways.

Group Accounting & Reporting

The Group Accounting & Reporting team is responsible for the consolidated financial statements and reporting for the ParshipMeet Group (sub-)group as well as the relevant standards, guidelines and processes. Our goal is to ensure that we meet the given deadline and timely restrictions and are in line with the group´s guidelines and reporting standards for our financial reporting. Furthermore, we see ourselves as service provider in the Group for internal and external stakeholders. 

We seek alignment and exchange with our internal stakeholders (within the Group Finance Department as well as with other departments) and our external stakeholders (parent company and external auditors). In addition, we are monitoring current developments in IFRS and reporting requirements. 

ICS & Risk Management

As the Internal controls function, our goal is to guide all departments to minimize risks and protect assets, ensure accuracy of records, promote operational efficiency, and encourage adherence to policies, rules, regulations and laws. As for risk management, we support the management by leading the process of identifying, measuring and reporting property, liability, income, and personnel exposures to loss in order to preserve the physical and human assets of the organization for the successful continuation of its operations. 

Working within the ICS and risk management team, it is key to build up a good network in the Group with relevant contacts and to create awareness so that stakeholders proactively contact us when necessary. 

We have the opportunity to work with every department within the ParshipMeet Group. As experts for taxes in project topics, as sparring partners in purchasing, as planning experts in the budget process and as partners in accounting, for example in the processing and payment of invoices. 

The Group finance function is working from Hamburg and Dresden. We work closely with our local finance organizations together, which are situated in Los Angeles, CA and New Hope, PA but of course also with the finance organization of our parent company ProSiebenSat.1 Media SE, which is situated in Unterföhring.
