As a (Junior) Group Controller (all genders), you will support key Group Controlling processes, including cash flow forecasting, balance sheet planning, and intercompany controlling. You will analyze financial performance across the Group and help further develop Controlling and financial reporting processes.
The ideal candidate has a solid foundation in Controlling or Finance, strong analytical skills, and a good understanding of integrated financial statements. You enjoy working across planning, reporting, and process optimization, collaborating with Finance teams and stakeholders across the Group while contributing to reporting, planning, and automation improvements.
This position is based at our headquarters in Hamburg or in our offices in Berlin or Dresden.
Minimum Qualifications and skills
- Degree in business, finance, economics, or comparable field, ideally with focus on Finance or Controlling.
- Firstrelevantexperiencein Controlling or Finance.
- Strong business acumen and ability to present financial topics clearly.
- A high levelof accuracy, reliability, and ownership in your day-to-day work.
- A structured, proactive working style and the ability to work independently while collaborating effectively with others.
- Strong Excel skills and confidence working with financial data and presentations in PowerPoint.
- Excellent English language skills.
Preferred Qualifications and skills
- Experience with MS Dynamics NAV and reporting tools such as Business Objects, IBM COGNOS TM1, Tableau or data warehouse applications is an advantage.
- Experience with and openness to implementing AI-driven andnon AI-driven automation solutions in financial processes is a strong plus.
- German language skills are a huge plus.
What the role is about
- You support the Group’s cash flow forecasting, balance sheet planning, and intercompany controlling processes.
- You help develop andoptimizecontrolling tools, reporting structures, and financial processes at both Group and entity level.
- You analyze monthly financial results, including Actual vs. Plan and Forecast variances, and translate insights into actionable recommendations to support business decisions.
- You contribute to enhancing the data foundation and automation of Controlling processes, including the transition to Tableau-based reporting.
- You collaborate closely with FP&A, Finance teams, and other stakeholders across the Group on planning, reporting, and financial analyses.
- You contribute to cross-functional finance projects and provide ad hoc analyses as business needsevolve.
