For our Accounts Payable team, we are looking for a (Junior) Accountant Accounts Payable (all genders) to join us as soon as possible at one of our locations in Hamburg, Dresden, or Berlin – either full-time or part-time. The position is limited to 18 months.
In this role, you will take on responsibilities within accounts payable in an international environment and support our team in processing, reviewing, and reconciling incoming invoices, as well as in intercompany processes and master data maintenance.
You can also support us on a part-time basis (at least 30 hours per week).
Minimum Qualifications and skills
- You have successfully completed a commercial apprenticeship or a degree in business administration.
- You bring initial professional experience in a comparable role within accounts payable or financial accounting.
- A structured, reliable, and detail-oriented way of working sets you apart.
- You enjoy working in a team and actively shape the team culture, initiative, and hands-on mentality.
- You feel comfortable in a dynamic environment and enjoy helping to shape new processes.
- In addition to strong German skills, you have good English skills to communicate effectively with international colleagues and stakeholders.
Preferred Qualifications and skills
- Experience in working with Microsoft Dynamics NAV.
- Basic knowledge of VAT and invoice verification topics.
- Interest in process optimization and digitalization within the finance area.
- Experience in working with digital workflow or expense management tools.
What the role is about
- You review and verify incoming invoices and initiate the digital approval process.
- You independently post supplier invoices approved by our departments.
- You act as a key contact person for our suppliers, internal departments, and the general ledger team.
- Together with your colleagues, you manage our expense management tool.
- You are responsible for maintaining vendor master data and reconciling open items.
- You support the preparation of reports and assist with our weekly payment runs and reconciliations – in close collaboration with the general ledger team in an international environment.
- You critically evaluate existing processes and actively contribute ideas for improvement and further development.
