(Senior) Tax Manager (m/f/d)

As a (Senior) Tax Manager you are part of a team of five tax specialists who are located at our Headquarters in Hamburg. In this role you advise and support management on tax matters globally, with a focus on the US market. This position is located either at our Headquarters in Hamburg or at one of our offices in Berlin or Dresden.  

Minimum Qualifications and Skills

• You have a degree in economics or any other business-related discipline.   
• A tax-related education or further training makes you a generalist in the field of taxation and you have acquired solid knowledge in the tax department of a dynamic company or a tax consultancy/ audit firm. 
• You are proficient in both German and English  

Preferred Qualifications and Skills

• Any experience with U.S. tax law is a plus 
• Alternatively, you bring along a strong interest in building up your expertise in the field of U.S. tax law  
• You demonstrate a strong analytical and structured way of thinking and working.  
• You feel comfortable in a flexible environment and inspire people with your friendly personality. 
• You think entrepreneurially, look beyond the obvious, and can confidently express your opinions 
  

What the role is about

• Internally, you independently represent the tax department in cross-functional projects and serve as a central point of contact for all tax-related issues with both German and international implications. 
• You also serve as a central point of contact for advisors and/or internal departments of our group companies in the US, UK and in Australia. With your tax expertise you advise and support the US-based management. 
• Together with your colleagues of the Tax Team, you work on our transfer pricing concept and consistently develop it further. 
• Your expertise contributes to the continuous improvement of our Tax Compliance Management System.  
• Alongside our external consultants, you ensure the timely preparation and review of interim and annual tax returns for various group companies. 
• You assist in preparing monthly, quarterly, and annual financial statements for tax-relevant areas according to IFRS.  
• As a liaison for external tax advisors, auditors, and tax authorities, you represent the company’s interests.
